Subject: "Error decoding JPEG image" for some JPEG's

Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

Hi,

Lotus Notes seems to have compatibility problems with some JPEG's. Tried to import such a JPEG in a mai ldoc and always got this error message. Got a blank image if the JPEG was attached to the email and I used the VIEW option.

It is not a PNG file like someone suggested; I tried it, it did not work. But it is a valid JPEG as my old Corel Painter 12 (2003) is able to display it, without problems.

Someone else with similar probs ? Any hints, special switches or similar ?

TIA
Joe Herrmann

My test jpeg is 32-Bit CMYK JPEG with 845k on the disk and 6.8 Mb in memory, 300dpi, uncalibrated color space, made with Adobe Photoshop CS3 Macintosh
